Increasing environmental concerns about the effects of waste disposal to landfill have been the driving force behind the move to incineration. However, these same environmental considerations have meant that incinerator design has become increasingly sophisticated in order to meet the ever more strict emission controls.

In recent years we have worked closely with a number of plant constructors across Europe to match our proven expertise in refractory design and installation to the innovative techniques needed to meet the higher standards.

As well as domestic refuse, the industry now encompasses such applications as clinical waste, animal carcass and scrap tyre disposal and many plants incorporate waste heat recovery systems to generate power.
